Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) is a mind-body approach that focuses on retraining the brain to reduce or eliminate chronic pain. PRT works by addressing the neural pathways that continue to signal pain even after an injury has healed (and sometimes never existed). Through a combination of education, cognitive-behavioral techniques, and guided emotional processing, PRT helps individuals reframe their pain experience, For many, it’s a transformative process that goes beyond just reducing or eliminating physical pains symptoms and into the realm of whole person healing—both physically and emotionally.

Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy (EAET) is designed to help people with chronic pain recognize and process the emotional experiences that may be contributing to their pain. Chronic pain often has an emotional component—such as unresolved trauma, stress, or suppressed feelings—that can intensify or set off the sensation of pain. EAET guides individuals in identifying and expressing emotions they may not be fully aware of, helping to release stored emotional tension and reduce pain. Through this process, EAET can help people feel more connected to their body and emotions, improving pain reduction, elimination and overall well-being.

Together, these therapies focus on the connection between mind and body, helping to address both the physical and emotional aspects of chronic pain for lasting relief.

EMDR Therapy & EMDR Intensives

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. EMDR is known to offer dramatic healing by helping individuals process and reframe traumatic memories, allowing them to reduce emotional distress and release long-held pain, often leading to profound shifts in how they feel and respond to past experiences. It's a psychotherapy approach that process distressing memories and negative beliefs of self while using bilateral stimulation, often in the form of guided eye movements or tapping/tappers. This process enables individuals to develop more adaptive coping, reduce triggers in the body and create more positive beliefs of self.

We offer EMDR as weekly sessions as well as “Intensives”. EMDR Intensives are designed for clients seeking a more concentrated and accelerated approach to healing.

Talk Therapy

Talk therapy is a way to work through life's challenges by having open, honest conversations with a trained therapist. In sessions, you'll have a safe, confidential space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or just need someone to listen, talk therapy helps you gain clarity, build coping skills, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself. Over time, it can lead to increased emotional well-being, better decision-making, and healthier relationships. It’s not about having all the answers right away—it’s about the process of self-discovery and growth.

DBT Therapy

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a type of therapy that combines talk therapy with practical skills for managing intense emotions and improving relationships. It's especially helpful for people who experience things like mood swings, self-destructive behaviors, or difficulty handling stress. In DBT, you'll work with a therapist to learn specific techniques like mindfulness, emotional regulation, and distress tolerance. The goal is to help you find balance—accepting where you are right now while also making changes to live a more fulfilling life. DBT provides real tools you can use in everyday situations, leading to better emotional control, healthier relationships, and a stronger sense of self.
